Welcome to the Australian College of Interior Decor. We are located in Sydney,
NSW Australia and specialise in teaching Interior Decorating, Colour and
Interior Design; for students wanting to become designers, consultants or
specialists in this industry as well as for students who simply want to
redecorate, renovate or owner build their homes. We have had 15 years
experience delivering such courses via distance education and our students
achieve an excellent standard of work.
We also have a series of Home Improvement Courses for renovators, owner builders and home decorators that have the Changing Rooms bug. So if "The Block" inspired you to renovate your home then we have 10 week courses that can lead you from understanding about colour, to designing bedrooms, curtains, furniture, period style homes and even curtain design. Enrol at any time of year Students may enrol in any of our courses at any time of year. All they need is to send the application for the relevant course along with their payment and they will have a course package ready to study within 3 days. No Entrance Exams or Portfolios Required to Enrol There is no interview, no completed portfolio required prior to studying our courses and no exam required for students to enrol. We are teaching you, we do not expect that you know anything about our course content. We do not select the best students or only those who are artistic and can draw already, so it is easy for us to achieve a high standard! We teach you everything and will have you working at a high standard of achievement very quickly. The College is a Registered Training Organisation and deliver a VETAB Accredited Certificate 4 in Interior Decoration (NSW 90614) Australia wide; The College also has International Accreditation with IARC (International Accreditation Recognition Council); Study whilst completing your HSC
Mature Entry The majority of our students are mature aged and are studying our courses in order to either change their professions; add to their credentials; become consultants that can work on an hourly basis; take up renovation in order to buy & sell houses; or study a subject that they have always dreamed of doing. Part Time Study Our courses are based on distance education and thus have some flexibility as to how they are studied. Our training modules are usually 8-12 weeks each and students may do as little as 3 modules per year (if they need more time to complete their studies) or as many as they wish if they need to fast track their qualifications. No Hidden Costs It has taken us years, but we have done all the study for you! We offer our students comprehensive notes, with current, relevant pictures of Australian decorating and design examples, architecture, products and materials. Students enrol and then pay for their Modules; there are no extra hidden costs or text book expenses. Our Professional Training Courses require students to purchase an Art Kit from Module 1 and they can literally start studying their course when the package arrives. Student support We are leaders in distance education and our student service is unparalleled by other colleges.
